My steering has gotten a bit sloppy. Not too bad, but it is noticeable.

I've replace inner/outer tie rods, Idler arm & bracket.

This has helped some.

I now have a rebuilt steering gear & new pitman arm.

How big of a PITA is the replacement job?

I haven't talked to a shop yet. I suspect a couple hundred $$ for labor.

From Chiltons & Y-tube video, it doesn't look too tough.. a bit greasy though

Anyone done this?

Should I pay the guy or tackle it myself

thanks

if you have the time, tools, and the a video walk through of it and you feel comfortable, give it a shot! I fixed my window motor/track and my blinker handle by myself with the help of the videos from 1a auto and i got everything in and did a good job!
