2008 Silverado 2500 HD 4X4

 

Adjusting the parking brake and after setting the rotor hat (drum) to shoe clearance, Alldata says to "Verify the self adjuster lock-out pin has been removed" and fully apply and release the parking brake pedal 3 times. Where exactly is this self adjuster lock-out pin? Is it under the dash by the parking brake pedal assembly? Thanks techs for your help.

Is there an alternate method for one person?

 

I know the "engineers" have their method but how does the real world mechanics do this?
