Replacing a Fuel Pump 2003 Suburban Z71

Ok I have some experience working on vehicles. I can do minor tune up work replace brakes shocks etc. How difficult is a fuel pump change? I just don't have the funds to pay for it.

It's not difficult. But you do realize the tank has to come down? That can be a bear sometimes. That will be the worst of it.

 

Hopefully you're near empty, if not try to remove as much fuel as possible to lighten the load

Yes, I know the tank has to drop. I watched a video on how to but sometimes those things can assume you know more than you do. As far as gas, I was low when it died( I actually thought I was out. I put about 5 gal in trying to get it started.
