I feel like the deck was stacked against the GM trucks in this test but I wish they would have at least got a 2nd place showing. I can't figure out why there is such a wide variance in performance between the GM twins given that both trucks are identically equipped. Big news in this test IMO is that GM smoked everyone else in the fuel mileage test, even the Ecoboost F150.

how did the gmc have that much better acceleration than the silverado? they were equiped the same way correct?

Yes the same engine, trans, gear ratio, wheel diameter, tire size and make, Z71 suspension, and they weighed within 60 lbs of each other.

I'm sorry, but I'm not buying these results. There's just way too much inconsistency in my opinion. Here's just a couple of the problems that I have:

1. GMC & Chevrolet - the results are WAY too different.
2. The Ram in 1st place? With a 1,000 pound payload? Seriously?
3. Look at the new 5.3 specifications... and tell me that the loaded / towing numbers can POSSIBLY be correct.
