Steering Wheel Accents replaceable?

I have the black Steering wheel accents, I was thinking of swapping to the metal look. Is it easy or do you need a new steering wheel?

 

Also thinking of changing the wood to the metal look also. Is it glued on?

You can get just the trim pieces.

Sorry,forgot about your other question......nope,the fake wood isn't glued on,its actually part of the trim panels themselves.

Get two of them while you're at it, since the ones with "metal" paint tend to wear off and look like crap over time.

How does it come off? Screw in the back?

 

Also, the brushed finish is 80 bucks a piece on GMPD. So 160 total! BUT......

 

A complete wheel with trim is only 150??? How does that make sense? My leather is shiny so I guess I might just get a wheel and drop it off at a dealer for a day. Unless there isnt an Airbag issue that could crop up.

You have to remove the airbag to get the trim off.

Watched the autowoods videos. Looks simple enough. Yeah I think Ill get a new wheel.

 

 

And the other trim does just pop out!

Have you considered graphics wraps for the trim pieces? I haven't used it before but my brother put some in his truck about 6 years and it hasn't peeled or faded. It's also a lot cheaper...

Yeah Ill look into that. All the pieces swapped will get more expensive than I think the change is worth to me its not that big of an issue with me to spend more than a 1000 on. Im thinking maybe just the wheel and cross dash strip above radio.
