Hey everyone,

I'm new to the site and to gm trucks so bear with me. I just wanted to double check, I have a 99 tahoe 5.7 v8. I have lateral movement on the power steering pully,is that normal? Since I think I do need to replace the power steering pump,how tough of a job is it?

It probably has something to do with the pump being worn out. You'll need a power steering pump puller to get the pulley off. Changing out the pump isn't too complicated, but it's a mess usually.
