06 Sierra missing second gear

It just happened out of nowhere truck was in and out of tow haul on the dunes not sure what exactly triggered it but my trans is now bypassing 2nd gear even when shifted in manual. I'm wondering if possible solenoid? Or wiring isse? Anyone's truck do this yet. Has 124000

Do you have fourth gear? Second and four both rely on the 2-4 band's application to get their respective gear ratios.

I have 4th i have to rev to about 2500 and let off for it to go to third otherwise i max 5-6 grand before it forces into third. Eventually yes if i keep accelerating i get 4th.

Lifted truck... check. Big heavy tires and rims.... check.... stock what...3.42 or 3.73 gears... check... 124000 miles and a dead 4L60E... you don't say. Gears and a trans would be a real good start here... if you can't swing that out the small tires back on it. You should consider yourself lucky it lived as long as it did.

Sarah, at minimum its a servo, it looks like it is going to need a full rebuild.
