Silverado Shipping time

Can anyone that lives in the Northeastern US tell me how long it took your truck to ship from Mexico? The dealer tells me that it will be traveling by ship to the port of Baltimore. My truck came off the line yesterday and I am hoping to gauge how long it will take to get to the dealer.

I couldn't tell you, but my truck had a production date on the 18th of this month and I'm hoping for a quick shipping time as well. I'm in California so I'm hoping for the best. I'm guessing it would arrive 2-3 weeks after it's completely built and ready to go but that's just an estimate.

Chicago area took four weeks by came by train.

Gm line > gm loading bay > GM shipping process> Arrival 3rd party loading bay> 3rd party shipping process> arrival at dealership> home driveway.

 

so like 4 weeks.

If not now, within a day or two your dealer can give you GM's estimate...good as any other guess. They will try for 2 weeks, no more than 3 in most of the US.

How long did it take from build to get delivered after built? I am in a similar situation, I live in VA and my truck is being shipped via boat to Baltimore.

The truck I ordered took so long to get here that I ended up buying another truck from another dealer. It finally arrived at the dealer after 13 weeks. Apparently, the truck missed the ship (which doesnt depart very often) and ended up spending a lot of extra time in a lot in Mexico.

I am going through this currently. I am waiting on one that arrived at the Baltimore port from Mexico on 7/19 but has yet to be loaded on a truck to come to PA. I was told 2 weeks ago that they were expecting it any day and now, unfortunately, we are at the same status we were then.

 

its just frustrating, you hear “Anyday now” and think it’ll be maybe 2-3 days, at least I did. Maybe a week tops. But two weeks later and here we are. It’ll be nice surprise when the phone finally rings at this point.
