Largest tire on stock 18's

Anyone changed to a taller tire on a new 4x4 with the 18 inch wheels I am thinking of going with the 265/70/18 in a 8ply. Thoughts from any of you great heads?

It would throw the speedo off. The dealership can't reprogram for the tires either so you'd have to get an aftermarket tunre to make the adjustment for you...

I am not worried about the speedo being off, but am worried about getting stuck lol.

Go with a 275/70-18. They will fit. Someone else on here has them. I love how people answer questions with statements not answering the question. Sorry. Anyway that size in the BFG ATKO is what he had and they fit with a 2 inch leveling kit. Speedo will be close to right who cares.

According to a tire calculator, that's just about 5% taller (33" vs. 31.5"), so your ACTUAL speed would be ~5% faster than what the speedo shows (ie: calc says 62 MPH on the speedo is actually 65 MPH). So really, NO, not a big difference.
