Air in brake lines

Ok guys I replace front and rear
pads/shoes. Now I have no brakes. I have manual bleed the brakes, two person method
and one person method. I think I have air in the ABS. I got a Autel DS708 Automotive Diagnostic and Analysis System http://www.amazon.com/Autel-Automotive-Diagnostic-Analysis-System/dp/B008XN7NUG

That will allow me the bleed the abs but I still have no brakes. The front looks like both sides have air in them
and the back look good. Anyone ever use the DS708? What am I doing wrong?

Because I have no brakes. I'll I did was change the pads, like I’ve done many times before. This is the second set up pads for this truck. I did not do anything different. I did not open any lines to let air in. The back brakes with stop the tires when on the lift but not the front.

Was this a problem before? Why do you suspect air got in the system if you did not open the lines up?

No I just had a noise coming from the front driver side tire. Once on the lift I found the pads were very close to metal to metal. So I replaced them. Everything was working fine just had a little noise from the pads. The truck has about 81,000 miles. As I bleed the rear brakes the fluid
comes out nice with no air or bubbles but a nice solid flow. Now the front is different their lot of air it in the system both size are about the same. If the brake pressure modulator valve has bad from pushing the calibers back in for the new pads would it show a abs light or something. As of now I have no code on the scanner.

You wanna start bleeding at passenger rear tire, then left rear then right front then left front. Put a tube over the valve an place in clear bottle with brake fluid in it so you can watch for no air bubbles. You will need someone to pump the brakes while you do this.

Well the dealership told me for 50.00 dollars they would finish the bleeding of the brakes. Really can’t pass a deal like that but I can’t drive it there snow and ice on ground now. It’s about a 10 mile drive. They will most likely say I need more things replaced to make more money. I will try
the bottle thing next.

Well I gravity bleed the brakes first with the bottle that did not work. I also pump the brake with the bottle, hose in bottle, in brake fluid that did not work. So I will be taken it to Kippelmier Chevrolet.

what is the breakdown of the $500 ? ,parts labour etc

He did not give me a breakdown just a total.

I believe anyone that wants to do their own work can. I am not a mechanic but I have not seen anything they can do that I can’t. I feel the only difference is a mechanic has the right tools to do the job faster.

I test drove it today about 30 miles and all is good.
