2001 Tahoe HVAC Problem

My front blend door and the actuator that controls defrost/vent/floor have both stopped working.

 

I thought having both actuators go out at the same time was weird, but that seemed to be the only logical answer so I went ahead and ordered and replaced the blend door which is on the passenger side. I still have the same problem.

 

The rear heat & A/C work fine.

 

I did recently remove the factory stereo and replace it with a custom bluetooth stereo. There were two plugs into the factor stereo. The one that I believe controls the onstar, etc is no longer connected.

 

I am wondering if there is some connection between the factory stereo and the front heater control? My next step would be to re-install the factory stereo.

 

I checked all of the HVAC fuses.

 

Any other ideas?

Do you have computer climate control or just the hot/cold? Sounds like your control module died, but it's a 100 dollar part so you need to make sure.

do a quick reset ,disconnect battery,reconnect ,turn key on engine off and let HVAC relearn its self ,ya can hear them moving ,,,,,

 

if that doesnt work,have the HVAC module scanned for DTCs,,,,no more guessing

Thanks for the help. I am starting to think the problem is the HVAC controle head. How do I scan it for DTCs?
