Powder coated rims

I just wanted to know if anyone has powder coated their stock rims on the 99-06 Silverado HD. I think I might get mine powder coated but I don't know what it would look like. Anybody have pics of their rims powder coated? Thoughts?

Depending on what color your thinking about, see if Plastidip has a color close to it, and spray the rims on one side of the truck to see if you like it! Could even try a different color on the other side for comparison. I think I remember seeing some pics of 1500 wheels powder coated, and don't remember hearing of any issues as long as they are prepped correctly.

 

Also, there is a couple fellow members here that are pretty handy and can "paint" your rims in a pic of you truck using the paint program on their computer. Maybe if you post a side pic of the truck they could help.

 

I think there is different finishes for powder coating: gloss, satin, flat, etc. If I remember right, there is a place near FW that advertises in the free Auto/Rv sales book every so often. Not sure how close they may be to you, but could call and ask about the finishes and prices.

I was thinking just a glossy black powder coat but I found this picture on twitter, and it looks pretty good, they only painted the solid face and left all the "holes" chrome
