While sitting in the front passenger seat going down the freeway at 60 mph while outside temperature was in the forties, I noticed a cold draft on my right foot while the left foot under the floor duct was toasty warm. The passenger automatic HVAC was set to 76 deg. F and the air temperature coming out of the HVAC duct was about 127 deg. F. So I got a hand held thermometer and stuck my head under the dash with my feet in the air and measured a large volume of cold air at 47 deg. F coming in from the top center of the space between the firewall and the HVAC module. So I think the connection that brings outside air in through the cowl to the HVAC module is leaking. I haven’t been able to get an exploded view of that connection. Can you send me one and give me some suggestions on a fix without disassembling the dash?

I did take it in under the warranty but the issue still persists. So I do have a problem. But thanks for the legal advice. Do you have any technical advice?

Just following your lead. Do you by any chance have a schematic or picture of the connection between the HVAC module and the cowl HVAC air intake? If so would you send me a copy?

Tit for tat. Actually I’m just trying to bring you back to technical issues, which is the whole purpose of this section of the web site, not warranty issues and tactics. I agree that the problem is unusual.
