Question about the smaller MyLink 4 inch Radio

Maybe they should fix the brochure then. It was one of the deciding factors why I got this particular truck.

This was also stated in the showroom Sierra book.

 

no where does it say not available on a regular cab.

 

This is bad news if it is true.

what a joke.... The great thing about trucks has been that you could always get one to fit YOUR needs.... I found a crew cab was the fit for me at this point in my life. 3 years ago with 3 younger kids, it was the ext. cab.... My dad found that the Sierra Regular cab with the v6 and 4x4 was his fit..... That being said, If you determine that the regular cab is all the truck you want or need, and are willing to pay 39,000 for one (Obviously NOT buying it at the cheapest option, just the cab config is the best for you) why the hell shouldn't you be able to get a nice stereo with Nav in it? you shouldn't have to buy the double cab. I love driving my dad's sierra it's a fun truck. I had the extended cab silverado and it wasn't as fun to drive, and for him wouldn't make sense.

 

 

 

I would think the aftermarket will come up with something relatively soon. I remember when the 09 Fords came out, there was an ugly ass little box 3x3x4 with a display on it that got velcro'd to the dash to retain sync if you had put in an aftermarket stereo.... less than a year after that they came out with the integrated units... Just took some time.

I just tried and I was able to add the SLE package.

 

I also searched out a truck that I was going to get . It was sold but the site still has it listed.\

I'm not to computer savy so all I can do is provide the stock number,#1404000 Maybe you can search out the listing I am seeing. The truck was at liberty chevy in Wakefield Ma

 

I used the chevy search feature so you can see the sticker.

 

In the description it says 8" rear view.

 

The liberty chevy .com site is different and gives very limited info.

Thanks. I had that part figured out after the fact due to this thread. At the time, I wouldn't know what a 8" vs 4 " looked like in a picture. I drove a Chevy with a 8" and that was what I searched out. So I thought.... nobody told me otherwise at the different dealers. I haven't even seen a GMC truck like I'm getting. They let me sit in a stripped version reg bed.

 

I just saw one that had one because it said so and the description of SLE in GMC in 2 different places said it had it. I still haven't found anything that says it doesn't come with a regular cab, you guys are the only way I have been clued in that I am not getting one. It is a very big disappointment.

interesting ... All of a sudden the truck has been removed from stock and listed as sold. Did someone call and say get that reg cab with 8" screen off the internet? I guess it was a good thing so some other poor sap doesn't go buy a truck thinking they will be getting the bigger screen.
