LED tail lights

with LED lights is it still safe to do a light tint on the lenses to give it a bit of a blacked out look

Safe yes, legal.... thats up to interpretation.

I don't see why they aren't legal cause they are seen easily not like the plain bulb with a blacked out lens these are easily seen with the lenses

Because the reflector is "covered"

Or use tape along the edge of the light

The cop radared a BMW passing me. I was doing 70. I don't want to get started on that. I got warning points prior to becoming a mod for that one

 

As for tape, red reflective tape at the ends of the receiver hitch should work

That works for me but I was going to put my nickname on the tailgate across the bottom

So is there anyway that I could do them as a white lens instead so it can be seen through with led lights
