9005 high beam bulb in place of 9006 low beam 2006 silverado

I have been looking into this mod and have a question. Trying to figure out if I will have any moisture/condensation issues when doing this. I ask this because looking at where the shaft of each bulb seals against the housing, there is an o ring. The high beam bulb has a smaller shaft than the low beam. Therefore the stock o ring would not seal against the housing. Is this going to be a problem with moisture inside the housing, longevity of the bulb, or any other issues?

 

My truck is a 2006 silverado 1500hd

Nope. I did it right before my denali lights. I am running stock lights now with 9005s. Takes some jiggling but it will seal
