3m film for bumper

I live in Mooresville, NC where most of the NASCAR race teams are based and a local shop (Russo's Tinting) that does the windshield tearoffs for most of the race teams, did my 07 Tahoe (in Sept 2006) with the 3M clearshield. Granted it only has 40,300 miles and always stays in the garage (Wife's vehicle), but the front end looks the same as the day he installed it. It took one major rock impact in the hood and only made a mark in the 3M shield. Very happy I had him put it on.

So, the day after bringing home the 2014 GMC AT, he tinted the windows and installed the same 3M clearshield. Standing 10 feet from the truck, you cannot see it at all. Everything forward facing is covered as well as huge pieces behind the tires and even the "A" pillars. Looks perfect. He charged me $500. Not sure the grade of the 3M, but he pointed at the small box the 3M came in and said it was $1500.

The self healing XPEL sounds like that makes sense also. Wish I would have known about that three weeks ago.

The clarity of Xpel is unreal, We had customers who didn't believe it was on their car until we showed them edges where the film was. If you cover entire panels (most exotics do) you almost wont see any edges since all the edges wrap under.
