Oil Sample Results

I know this is not the same as a DMax, but I have a Detroit Series 60 that I just got the sample results back on that just got it's first run on Schaeffer 7000 15w40 syn blend CJ-4. According to Schaeffer, their 9000 5w40 Full Synthetic CJ-4 has the same add pack. With the results I got on this engine, I would have no problem putting this oil in a Dmax.

 

This sample, the engine has 200008 miles on it, the oil had 13733 miles on it. I was pleased with the results. And take a look at the add pack components. That is a very strong add pack. Will probably stretch the drains out further per their recommendation.

I use Donaldson filters on all of my trucks. I also run bypass titers on my trucks. The latter is more than likely why the soot level was low.... less than .5 percent.

Good to know. Yes that's low, it's nice to get back good test results!

Thanks for sharing. We have been using Mobil 1 in our 2012 DMAX.........very low miles on the truck (13k), but she's due for a change anytime now.
