A rebuild should happed. It would be about a 355

At that mileage plan on doing a complete re-build with new pistons, grind crank, new cam, bearings etc.... No shortcuts, imo

I'm doing a full tear down of a 5.7 motor to clean things up and the same for the tranny that was included because the truck it was in was T-boned behind the door and I want to know if there's any damage in it but .030 over, like chris said, is the most you can do but with that many miles mind as well do more if you'd be willing to

Junkyard LQ4 and harness will run you less than $2000

Shop around for a crate motor from Jets or Summit even have warranties. Buy the time you're done doing yours right you'll have more in it anyway.

What size would that be? And should i cam it also? Or rebuild it too sence its got 228k on it?

4.030 is what the new bore size would be
