Reverse lights

I have a 2012 Silverado Z71, I have noticed that occasionally the reverse lights do not come on when I use the fob to lock/unlock. They work fine when I put it in reverse. Anybody able to explain this?

Mine come on when I remove the key from the ign, but I can't remember if they did with lock/unlock

It is an option in the DIC. Just go through the settings.

Are you using two different fobs?

Aren't they dependent upon the level of light present at the sensor on the dash?

There is a setting called perimeter lighting. So when that is turned on, if the sensor says its dark, the lights come on when you unlock

The lights will only come on if it's dark enough for them to come on, at least it's that way in my truck

No, just one but I tried your suggestion of the settings in the dic and they are now working like they should. I just got the truck a short time ago and I was probably messing around and changed the setting. Thanks for the help.
