For the Alpine X110-SLV and its price, I would want the best possible Nav system with it - one of the articles on this mentioned that "The embedded GPS navigation is the newest version of iGo Primo, the same system used by most new car manufacturers. "

 

I would like to see at least something as good as a Garmin and it seems to me Google Maps online gives you the best up to date traffic and routes...

 

Does anyone know if this iGo Primo is that good - if it's the same used by GM now, no thanks....

I think the reason why they do that is because it links to sirius xm for traffic updates. Unless you have internet access to the headunit itself, you wont get the traffic updates through google maps on it.
