Swap out headlights between Silverado and Sierra?

How about replacing GMC sierra SLE headlights for SLT LED's?? Has anyone seen this? Is it just a matter of swapping the headlight or is there an easier way?

Guy on here swapped SLE for SLT headlights. It was a simple plug & play, though the LED strips wouldn't work as DRL's. Instead the truck continued to use the headlights as DRL's, with LED's only coming on at night with headlights on. Something about SLE & SLT computer programming being slightly different. Last I heard, he didn't have any luck getting the LED's to work during the day.

Oh ok well that's great , I wouldn't mind that at all if it's that' easy and still have that factory touch to it without getting some bootleg looking LEDs like I seen. However it would be interesting where I could find some reasonable priced headlights to do the swap.....

Really? To me the best part of of having the LED strips is they're on during the day. At night, with headlights on, they don't stand out as well (b/c they run at a lower voltage).

If you do the swap, your SLE v/s SLT lights will look identical during the day.

My dad had a truck 20-25 years ago that said Sierra on one door and Silverado on the other...

I remember being on the lot of a local Chevy dealership in the late 1980's and they had about 15-20 new trucks on the lot with various mixed Chevy/GMC labeling both inside and outside of the trucks. They would not discount or fix them either.
