2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Z-71 Crew Cab (147,000 miles)! I have had a stuck lifter for sometime now and finally have the money to fix! Just wanting to know a good lifter to replace them with was going to go through dealer until I leaned it was $50 a lifter which would run me over $800 and yes I'm replacing them all, so just curious of a good reasonable priced lifter to replace them with! Also gasket set and head bolts! Also going to have to have heads re valved/seated depending on bad it is (loosing about 2 qt of oil a month through exhaust) oh one more thing is what is the standard oil pressure for this model? Thanks in advance!

I would like to know as well, my dads 4.8 is ticking non-stop and he might have to go this route sooner or later. Although his engine is not having any oil issues. It's a 2006 with similar miles.

I would like for him to just sell it soon and get a new Silverado, even if he just paid it off a year or so ago. :/

Are you checking the cam too? Sometimes they'll delaminate and cause issues. I would ask a shop what parts they recommend.

As far as oil pressure, most run around 30 or 40. Mine is at 40 pretty much all the time. Doesn't burn any oil.

If youre not cammed the LS7 lifter is ok to run in a stock motor
