elboberino Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Anyone know where to find out how dark I can have the tint on my windows? I know that I cannot tint the windshield (even though I really want to) and that you must be able to see through the front driver and passenger windows. I live in Arizona (but go to school in CO) so if anyone knows the AZ law on this, it would be a great help. Thanks in advance.
fmjcafe Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Check with a tint shop. When I had my truck done they were well versed on the law and which law enforcment agencies locally were agressivly enforcing it.
LarryE Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 It's all up to state law, check out the sema website for the state regulations... Here in KY you can run limo tint all day long without the choppers giving a s*%t about you..
cowboy02 Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 I believe in colorado it is as follows........... You can have limo tint all the way around the truck as long as there is no tint on the drivers side window and no tint on the windshield... That way the cops can see your pretty face when they pull you over. You can have 18% tint all the way around legaly as long as there is nothing on the windshield.. No tint allowed at all on the windshield... However, I've seen guys go as low as 12-15% and not have problems being pulled over by cops, If it's night time just turn on your dome light after they pull you over and it will light up the inside of the cab like daylight and they won't be able to tell your windows are tinted. During the day most cops won't be able to tell because you'll have your window rolled down giving them a mouth full by the time they get up to your truck :thumb: :thumb: 18% is all that "MOST lEGAL" shops will do in Colorado....... As for arizona I think there laws are a little looser.

BLKESC Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Try asking a State Trooper in the state that you are concerned. I'm sure they'd be glad to tell you instead of giving you a ticket (I hope).
ridnlow Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 My friend has 5% all around.. it looks like night time at 4:00 in the afternoon
