08 4l60e 1500 to 01 Tahoe 5.3

This is prob in the wrong section. But I have a motor for a 01 Tahoe 5.3L. Will a 08 silverado 4l60e for a 5.3l fit and talk together? Or Are they not compatible? I found one with 36,000 miles for $700. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, alex

As long as it is a 4L60E/ 65E/ 70E (which are all the same, just upgraded components the higher you go) and it has the same tailshaft (for 2wd or 4wd) and same round plug connector on the passenger side and same bell housing bolt pattern (which it should be) then you are good to go!
