Power Steering Hose Failure

There have been alot of power steering hoses go (mine has gone twice in 2 years). I'm sure this is happening to alot of people. Has anyone ever filed a complaint with Transport Canada? I'm going to submit one here:

It sucks to have to replace this hose every year. Once it's off warranty I'll upgrade to something better. The garage here in town rebuilds the older ones with hydraulic hose and fittings and has pretty good success with those lasting in the cold.

Face it car companies and their dealers are like insurance companies. It doesn't matter what you say the first time, the answer is wear and tear, you didn't look after your vehicle...... automatic no at least the first time, maybe more.

I had my 01 rear brakes totally toast at 21,000 km/13,000 miles, normal wear and tear. Total crap, and they wanted $900 to do them. And because my truck wasn't "safe" they said my truck wasn't able to be driven to another shop. They wanted $160 for a set of pads to drive away. Went next door and bought a set for $70 and told them to slap them on, another $80 to get them on and off the hoist. I was back in 2 days with a pile of paper off the internet about their crap brakes. 2 days later they called and did the whole rear end brakes under warranty, no charge.

If you feel you are getting screwed you probably are. Research pays. TC will help but that takes a long time to build a record. They are just getting to my rusted frame and crappy ignition switch after 14 years.

My power steering hoses are stock and original. It is total crap you have an 11 and are on your third set. You will have to go in and get in their face. The other thing is warranty can be done at any dealer. If the first one sucks go to another. And when it comes time to buy another buy from the good guy and make sure you rub the jerks nose in it. Good luck. Squeaky wheels get the grease.
