Anyone see that the 15 Stingray will have an 8 speed tranny? I'm guessing 16 for the truck..

That's the most common speculation now that we know the 15's won't have it

That's usually how it works. The Corvette is a halo car for GM but from a parts standpoint it's always been sort of a testbed for their bread and butter stuff- trucks and SUVs. The Vette got the LS1 a year or two before the trucks got Gen. III V8s and the six speed auto was there first and so on.
