Ouch! Did they replace the front door or fix it? Glad you got it fixed!

I just installed my G4 Elite Fold a Cover yesterday and I really like it.. It's very nice quality and easy to install. I bought the Personal caddy too, but haven't put anything in it yet..

I am about to hit 5k and I'm starting to notice when going around corners my seat feels like it just barely moves a very slight bit..

How did you wreck it??

I ordered my G4 Elite w/Personal Caddy and sliding drawer lastnight and I already have a tracking number from FedEx with a deliver on Thursday.. Pretty snappy service. I am very pleased.

Well, with the personal caddy and the sliding tray, and shipping for the caddy it was still $1388 after the discount and $25 coupon.. I was a little leery about spending $1400 on a cover but I have heard such good things I decided to go for it.. I think that personal caddy is 3-400 alone.. seems a little much for what it is, but it looks and sounds neat, we'll see.. I bought it because I thought it would help me utilize my bed a little better which right now stays empty 99% of the time as I don't want to leave stuff in it for someone to just walk off with.. I have the Line-x liner sprayed in there and the GM mat on top and that GM mat no matter how many sunny days its in will not lay flat.. It still has speed bumps in it from when it was rolled up in the box.. I am ready to fill a box of junk and strap it down for a few days but I don't want someone to think it's valuable and steal my bin.. so I'll do it once the cover is on..

Not sure how often they offer this deal but Fold A Cover is offering 20% off on their Elite G4 w/Personal Caddy.. Was a $220 discount plus I found another $25 coupon on some Ford Raptor site.. Anyone interested may want to check it out as it said the sale was ending on the 19th of this month yet it was still up tonight (20th) and I was able to order/pay for it. I also got a free 2 year warranty extension and a weatherstrip kit included in the special.. I can't wait to install it, I had my truck Line-Xed a month or so ago and I don't want it to fade.. plus I like the idea of finally being able to use my bed and not have to worry about stuff getting stolen.

I wonder that myself.. I don't know.. I have only been on German car boards and no, MB or BMW doesn't come on at all.

Nobody is judging her at all. There is nothing personal here, she is just a girl with a job. The issue is the job is basically a joke.. They are just here so people can say, "Wow, that GM, they care enough to have reps on the message boards".. I have been on other GM boards and it's the same on all of them. All these reps do is come in and ask for your information. I have really never seen any of them offer any actual help or solve any problems. And when they got caught lying in the radio/hvac knob thread they just dissapeared.

As long as they don't check the history and see you have changed it before.. but I would think it wouldn't be a big deal unless something serious.

I have 4500 on my 5.3 and if I drive freeway I get great mileage but in town it's all stop and go and all one to two mile trips I can get as low as 9.8mpg

I live in SoCal so obviously I don't have these rust issues, but my stepdad owns a 4 wheel drive shop and has an older lifted Suburban. King sponsored him when he built the Dana 60 into the front, and it was in magazines, etc, but I noticed rust on the frame under the doors.. I asked him why he didn't fix it (This is years after it was in the magazine, now it just sits in his driveway) and he said "I'll be long dead before any rust is going to eat through that frame".. Maybe a different story for people in more rusty areas.. Still, I would be pissed if my brand new truck was rusting already.. I know you shouldn't have to, but can you paint the frame where it's rusting?

I don't know, I get in my truck, start it, put my seatbelt on and go, I don't have any chimes.. Are you driving without your seatbelt on or something? Mine is not loud by any means, infact I hardly notice it. I know some of the new Fords I've used (borrowed trucks, or for work) have all had horribly annoying chimes when you don't put your seatbelt on.

One reason I haven't done it yet is because I don't want to void the warranty.. and I've heard on here that any suspension mods will void warranty for suspension.

That's what I was hoping for, but I just didn't understand how all of a sudden thanks to everyone here the problem was resolved.. I see now why he mentioned his boat link, but unfortunately whenever people usually post links to their businesses like that it IS for something sub-par. This is obviously on the up and up, as I thought it was from the beginning. I feel bad I doubted my instincts now. I sure hope for GM's sake *Because I like GM* they get their stuff straight.. Dodge sure is picking up a big share, and brand new trucks with foggy headlights and smelly interiors sure aren't very appealing..

Sorry from the beginning I believed you. But thanks to everyone here the problem is solved? Was this real? I'm VERY sorry if this is real and I have accused you of being fake, but what was this sudden resolution on the issue?

I hope they take care of you.. That is a very scary thing to happen. Unless they just flat out don't believe you they should replace it just on the basis that if it happens again, you could probably sue them, now that you have taken it in for this. Especially if you have an accident because of it.. I like the guy above have seen a vehicle do something very similar to this, but again like the guy above the person just turned the key off right away and of course it stopped.

You didn't read the fine print? These trucks aren't meant to be driven in the rain, the wipers are just for looks. The manual states if you need to get around in the rain to seek out your nearest 1940 Business coupe. Okay I'll stop. I would be pretty sad if my brand new truck's wipers broke, but I am sure the dealer can replace the wiper motor fairly easily.. Maybe you just got a bum unit.

I think I am going to get the Elite G4 or whatever it's called. I like the idea of it being hard and locking. They want $1200 for it and the caddy I believe.. I wish they were a little cheaper, and somewhere I could buy locally..
