auxiliary transmission cooler

Hey,

I bought a 2014 GMC Sierra double cab with a 4.3 liter engine about 3 months ago. I'm going to be towing a travel trailer that will max out around 5000 pounds. I just completed installing an aftermarket brake controller, all went well and it works just fine. I'm also looking to install an auxiliary transmission cooler. I picked up a tranny cooler GM part #19244189 from my local dealer. Came with the cooler and two lines and hardware. I took the grill off and went to install it, but there was no way to mount it in place. I looked up the part online again and the one I got doesn't look like the pictures on several sites. I'm wondering if they got mixed up somehow!? My transmission temps have been as high as 205 degrees F without towing, I'm sure the temp. will go higher once I start towing for any distance. Sooo, has anyone installed an auxiliary tranny cooler? And if so is there one from GM that is available?

Did you search the forum or online in general? There are plenty of tranny cooler installs here and I'm sure that you would have been directed at a better product than what GM has to offer.

But good luck, show us the finished set up.
