Daytime running lights

Wanting to change my daytime running lights. I thought about getting switchback leds and hooking parking lights to drls and drls to turn signals. I know I would have to mod the drl sockets or replace them.but didnt know if this was possible to do.

Yeah you can, it's pretty easy. You just have to buy an extra set of turn signal sockets, then you modify the current DRL socket to accept the extra wire and turn signal internal piece.

I just got rid of the DRL function altogether. With 2 turn signal bulbs on each side your signals are much more visible. Looks better too I think.

I thought it would look cool. Ive seen where people have deleted drls but never hurd of anyone doing a dual purpose type setup

I think my sensor is bad since I have replaced the fuse and both DRL bulbs but still don't have them working. But I really don't want to mess with removing the stereo to replace the sensor just yet.

My sensor was down inside the dash. I was trying to get it out last night, but couldn't get my hand to move enough to get it all the way out. The top of it is just sticking out of the dash.

Tried that. There's a duct in the way though. If that wasn't there it would be cake.

Its not. If I remember right the process is simple. You have to disconnect battery and wait a bit. Then remove the vent registers on either side of it, and I think you have to remove the inner fuse box covers on either side. Basically remove the dash cover
