I'm thinking about running a line of switches along my leg on the console, might be an easier place to reach.

Haha! I think I have an idea on installing my own. It's going to involve robbing some more parts from my buddies junk Silverado.

So I went today and got what I was looking for out of my buddies truck. Installed it when I got home. I'm unsure of what to do about the empty hole though. I have the airbag lock/unlock piece I could put in the open spot, but I think it will be out of place...

thats where my airbag switch is. will the blank fit on both sides? If it does im thinking of relocating my switch out of sight and putting in the pocket. If it will fit i'll mail you the blank piece to put there off my truck. try the long piece on the lower side too if either fits i'll send them

Won't fit sadly. I tried flipping it so it would fit, but it either sticks out too far or sticks in too far. I'm going to try tinkering with it again tomorrow.

I thought of that, but the long piece is connected to the frame of the whole piece that clips into the dash.

ok you got me curious so went out and tore my dash apart, here is what i found:

 

 

i had to cut the little tab closer to the black faceplate off the switch to make it work.

 

 

the blank panel i just turned upside down also

So apparently the blank will fit in either side?

on mine it does, same year as your truck, maybe the silverado is a little different?

I see. No idea on that one. Whatever you want to do man it's your call. All this figuring to keep a stock look lol!

if i can get to the junkyard this weekend and find a pocket i'll send the whole setup, i'll even see if i can find another square blank to make sure it works.
