Goodyear Wrangler A/T Adventure?

It's getting time for some new shoes, and I suddenly have a bit of a dilemma. I have been certain that my next set of tires for would be LT Michelin MS2 (E load range), mostly because I tow a camper, and had excellent performance from the p-metric size on my last truck. The problem is that the OEM Wrangler A/T tires have been great. So, I looked at what Goodyear offers, and the new version is the Wrangler A/T Adenture, and looks to be replacing the Silent Armor. The nice thing about this tire is that it offered in p-metric w/ a max inflation of 51 psi. That's basically the same as a LT/C tire, which is a good size on a half ton truck.

Just curious if anyone here is running these, or the Silent Armors... or the LT/E Michelins for that matter. The Michelin in p-size rides incredibly good on these trucks, but I've never run the LT version on a 1500. The newer model only weighs ~6 lbs more than the p-metric, so I suspect there's not much difference, so long as they're run at ~35 to 40 psi when unloaded.

(I realize the MS2 and A/T are a different tread design, but either is fine for me.)

If you're mainly going to be on road and towing get the Michelin ms2 in an e rating. Ride shouldn't differ too much from the p rating but you have more peace of mind.

I stay away from Goodyear at all costs.

I scheduled a set of Michelin MS/2 LT/E for install on Monday. Today was the last day for their small rebate, and I'm planning a long distance tow in a few weeks (camping). I like the look of a mild A/T tire on the truck, so I also looked at the Michelin AT/2... but the M/S made more sense for how I use it (mostly pavement, and sometimes gravel/dirt roads). I like the look of the M/S too, so I think it will be a good match overall. I'll post back how they handled when towing vs the current tires in a few weeks.

Im sure you'll be satisfied for many thousands of miles to come! I'm glad you sent with the MS2's, I have never had a single bad experience with a Michelin tire.

What sizes did you go with?

LT265-70/17. I'll try to start a new thread soon to give a little feedback on them. Installed Monday... but few miles yet.
