Gears and tire size

For those of you who have changed your tires form 245's to 285's do you have 3.73 gears?  If so what kind of power loss did you see?  What are your rpms at say 60 mph and 70 mph?

When I switched to 265's I noticed a small power loss and the  jump to  285's is  bigger  and  I am  a bit worried.

 

For the last month or so I have been keeping it in 3rd unless I am on the highway or above 50mph.  I don't like the way the engine lugs when it is in 'D'.  It is more responsive in 3rd at speeds below that also.

I went from 265s to 285s and I have 3.73.  I had no noticable power loss.  

 

Rpms hmmm  like at 65 i think its 1900 rpms.  Dont quote me on that i havent checked that in awhile.

I noticed a little loss on the low end and with the 285's.  My truck has always felt a little slow off the line but after you get those rpm's to about 3k then the engine really pulls hard.
