Only getting hot air

I have a 2002 2500 HD. I turn it to cold but it still blows out hot air. Is it the controls or could it be something else?

Is the AC compressor running? Is the accumulator at the firewall cold? If it is, you may need to do a simple recalibration of the system.

that worked, disconnected the battery for about 10 min. when i reconnected it i got cold air.

Glad to help. Be aware your problem could re-occur if your actuator motor is going out

that worked. and i think it fixed another problem i was having. my truck would stall every once and a while. that stopped once i reset the system.
