How hard to replace power (folding) side mirror ?

The power folding mirror on the wife's 2008 Tahoe LTZ has failed. It won't open / close any more and it is loose. Chevy dealer said the whole thing needs to be replaced. The want > $800 !

 

I'm fairly handy mechanically so I think I can replace it myself with some helpful tips.

 

Can anyone who has already done this help ?

It isn't that hard to replace just make sure you don't clip any of your wires. It's replaced exactly the same as the other one is taken off. I need to do the same to mine.
