Can I just point out one thing.. Just one. During WWII the french couldn't even push back the french. This is after the Germans fought for 10 Hours so gallantly at the Magino Line(sp?). Literally they "fought" aka ran until they ran out of land to "fight" on. Then they surrendered 500K fully armed troops. They were like screw this we ain't fighting we make love. Getting back to the french pushing back the french. Somewhere in the duration of the war, sorry about the vagueness, but the French Allies couldn't push back the Vichy France forces...I'm sorry but that's sad..

the darndestthing is everyone of those "french" items you listed is actually an american invention.
