When these journalists make silly comments like this in regards to how crappy the Vette's interior is to car like, say their precious BMW's, I counter,

 

"The Compu-Link timing system at the drag strip doesn't care about the qaulity of interior materials, only who crosses the 1/4 mile mark quicker!"

 

The interior components of my Camaro are no where near the standards of a BMW, but when you're staring at my taillights as they disappear from you, I'm not all that concerned about that.
