I have a 2011 Sierra 5.3  with a loud ticking sound and have checked the flywheel.   Lifter looked bad on cyl.8 and had a new head installed. 2 mechanics said it was causing the sound.  it didn't help.  It still sounds like it is in the bell housing. Can the torque converter make such a sound?  Some say oil pump will do that.  I have 40 lbs of pressure usually.  i have over 2 grand invested in the problem now.  I did have a lot of oil in the intake  when the head was replaced, so it was needed, I guess  I hate to do more expensive experiments.  So, what now?  I need help.
