I have a '02 Chev 2500HD with the standard electronic control transfercase.

I would like to convert it to manual control.

Would this be feasible ?

I'd think it's feasible in can be done, but the cost may not be. You would have to get a different transfer case, mate it to your truck making sure drive shafts all line up. Then find a way to get the shifter up through the floor, so some modifying/fabrication there. Then to make sure you have the correct wiring harnesses to actually do the shifting for the front diff. Like I said, may cost you more than anticipated.

Feasible.....absolutely

Logical.....absolutely not

I say that as I contemplated doing that in my '01.....for about 2 minutes.

I was under the impression that the manual shift cases (OEM) on these body style trucks use a shifter lever with a cable (no biggie of course) and a enclosed lever instead of electronic motor.

I've always had issues with my t case engaging.

My buddy's '08 has OEM manual. That got me thinking...

I thought I saw a diagram of it once. Just can't remember on the shaft, how it's turned.
