1999 Fully Recline Ext Cab Seats?

Hey guys

 

 

One of the things that has bothered me since I got the truck is that the driver and passenger seats up front don't fully recline. I have seen a few shoddy DIY's but am still a little lost on what I got to do to make my seats go back all the way.

 

 

I have the manual cloth version.

 

 

I sleep in the truck just about every morning before work so having it go back all the way would help me out big time.

If your fabrication skills are decent, have you thought of making the extended cab into a bed? Like removing seat belts and fabricating a frame that will support a second lower seat section. Then you could lay across it and get even better sleep. Check out photos of the chevy Kodiaks if my description was inclear

Ive thought about doing something like that. Removing the rear seat and then just getting a bed for the floor. Figured it might be interesting with that raised flooring area in the middle of the cab floor though.
