Anybody have this issue?

It seems my Y pipe where it bolts to the mid pipe is hitting the heat shield and I'm getting noises over bumps I tightened the studs and it's still loose so I hammered them out and used bolts, but still I can push it up to the floor board, I wedged a piece of aluminum in there and it went away but it's rattling the cab now I checked all my manifold bolts, I am wandering if the cab mounts are weak? Any ideas?

I went ahead and welded a bracket in with my y pipe. What exhaust are you running, just a generic pipe? What inch?.

It's an aftermarket 2.5 with flowmaster still has the factory mid pipe, could u explain the bracket u welded on ?

An "L" styled bracket I picked up from the local exhaust shop. Slapped it on at the base of the y. I originally had a hose clamp but it was only temporary until I put a little spot weld on it.

 

I've also seen guys run a piece of steel or aluminum straight across underneath the y pipe if you feel comfortable resting right against the heat shield.
