I bought a 04 gmc sierra 1500. I'm getting the front end jacked up. I have stock 16 rims and wondering whats the biggest/widest tire I can put on them?

IIRC, 265's, obviously you can go more but tire wear will be an issue. Your limiting component is the width of the wheel. As far as height, depends on amount of lift.

Rule of thumb: No more than a 4" difference between wheel width and maximum tire width.

With the front end cranked up he will easily fit 285's.

 

That said I will never understand why people insist on big tires on stock pickups, it will ride awful with the front end cranked up.

Got to fill them big wheel wells with something.... I like the look but your right, it takes a bite out of the ride...

 

285's will fit without issue.
