Like a rock in the COLD!

Boy am I impressed!!  We had a real drop in temperatues here in Alberta, Canada, last night it was -42C and I forgot to plug the truck in.  It sat for three days then when I went to go to work it started no problem.  Its good to have a real vehicle a guy can rely on when the temp hits extremes like this.  I wouldn't reccomend trying this on purpose (probably not the best for a vehicle) buts its good to know it can handle it.

I think one of the most i,portant things when it comes to having a vehicle in these types of climates is your battery.  I just installed a new Delco battery and she cranks hard no matter what the temp.  Also the importance of running good engine oil - I run Molile 1 synthetic 5w30 in all my vehicles.  I think that this oil is not affected by the cold as much as regular dino oil and it takes less to crank the motor over.  I believe it also get up into the engine faster and reduces wear on my engine after a cold start.  I am not an expert on oil by any means but that my justification for spending  up to 3x more for my oil.
