Using 2012 tonneau cover on new 2015

I had the factory tonneau cover on my 2012 sierra crew, I just got a 2015 sierra crew and saw that the bedrail stake hole covers can't be removed to use my old cover, has anyone come up with anything to use the factory tonneau from previous years on the new models? Thanks

PITA. They will fit, sort of. If its a tri fold, it can work, but you should try and get a hold of the proper mounting brackets to put the new one on. If its a roll up, they don't fit 100%. We swapped one on, it was too short by just udner a 1/4 inch in front and 1/4 inch at the rear. IMO, sell the one on craigslist and pick up a new one.

It is the tri fold, any info on home you got it on? I was thinking of spinning it around bc the rear stake holes are open or just completely removing those foam blocks and just making it really tight

How* you got it on

You can, very carefully, use an exacto knife and cut out the pocket cover if you so choose. We have done this before. Cut right next to the raised center though, as the bed rail is like right there.

Ok just looking for some input...I put my old cover on the new 2015...I removed the rubber blocks because the stake holes are not open, it worked 90% good, only issue is the front of the cover is less than a 1/4 inch off the rail (not sealed) and same with the tailgate (because prior truck did not have bed rails and this one does)...is this ok?
