Hi newbie here and i just joined the forum because i read alot of great info on here.

So i went and bought a 34" led light bar to mount behind the grille of my 2014 all terrain. I know a few guys here have done similar installs and I am looking for as much advice as i can regarding power source options, what wiring harness other people have used and best way to secure the bar to the rad support bars?

Please give me all the info you can and pics if you can. Thanks in advance. i will post pics after i get it done.

There weren't any instructions included but I'm more asking about do i need a relay in the wiring harness or just an in line fuse link? Also i was wanting to know how the guys who have installed one in their truck if they sourced power from highbeams or other directly to battery?

Thanks for the reply.

yes it came with mounts but no wiring harness it was an option but i didn't order it with the light.

An inline fuse will be sufficient for your application I wired my bar up the red wire came into the cab on a switch I grounded using a 10 mm bolt in the hood area. I have the fuse on the power wire running into the cab for the switch.

What location did you choose to mount the switch in the cab and what style? I want it to either be unnoticeable or look close to a factory install look. Any pics of your install?

oh i never thought of mounting it up in the overhead console that is a neat location and yeah i really want to see the install

Thanks so much

If it was me I would use a relay from the fog lights to switch the new led bar. Only thing being it would be on with the fog lights
