Will a 285/17R17 fit with a 2" level?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been answered at some point but I can't find it.

I'm adding either the adjustable Bilsteins or the BDS 2" level and want larger tires. I have the stock WT 17" rims that I'll be powdercoating black.

I like the idea of a taller, slightly narrower tire and was came across the Terra Grappler G2 in 285/17R17 which Nitto says is 33.86" x 11.26." It seems like everyone with a 2" level is running 33's...will these fit? I don't mind a little wheel well trimming but I don't want any rubbing. I'm hoping with the narrower width there won't be any. The 285/70R17 that everyone is running is a 1/4" wider...

285/75 17?

I'm pretty sure you would need a trim. Here is a clearance shot of 285/70 17 G2's. I've got less than an inch clearance at full lock on level ground.

great shot, thanks. seems like a taller tire wouldn't fit even though it is 1/4" narrower. you have a 2" level?

Yes 2" level. I can push back a bit on the felt liner though. Enough to give 1.25 in of clearance. It looks to me like it would clear up some more space to just cut the felt out in that area. There were several trucks at the local dealerships with levels and larger tires with that done. All 20's though. I was hoping for the same size as you, but couldn't find anyone who was running that size. Not many people running 17's these days, but I prefer the smaller rim and bigger tire look.
