I have a 05 Silverado and my neighbor has a 04. I took my side steps off and went to put them on the 04 but There are no bolt heads. And the lower mounts look different than mine. It's like a special tool might be needed? I have never seen anything like this before. Any ideas?post-138686-0-27428400-1421727261_thumb.jpgpost-138686-0-04125100-1421727275_thumb.jpg

Are these pics of yours or his? Honestly if those are his and they look like that you need to find his bolts and washers cause his are MIA.

Those are his. All 6 cab mounts look like that. I just took out one of mine and tah dah! His truck is missing all cab bolts and lower bushings. Truck is parked until we get some in.

^^^^

Thanks for your input btw.

WOW! ALL of his cab bolts are missing. That's unreal.

Yep. All I can figure is someone pulled some steps before selling and kept the hardware.

As far as being broken, I can't see any bolt up in the holes so IDK, but we will find out!

I was just thinking tonight just to be on the safe side you might want to check the bed bolts and rad support bolt also.

Only the 6 cab mounts were missing. We ordered lower bushings "cushions" and picked up some bolts. There were no broken bolts inside just missing hardware. Nothing else was unusual with the other mounts. I firmly believe when this truck was traded in, some steps were removed and the hardware taken. How rude! And dangerous!

Thanks for the help!

Mine look the same what kind of bolt do I need.

I thought my truck was riding funny especially on concrete freeways. Sorry I'm new to this site or should say that I've never had an account for it, I read these postings all the time. And I also realize that this thread is over 2 years old but i am just curious because I just noticed today that my body mounts look just like the one's post on here, and it's a bit concerning that I don't have bolts holding my cab down, I am surprised it hasn't fallen off yet makes me wonder what is holding on to the frame lmao.

I know this is an old post and I apologize for bumping it back from the dead, but this covers the exact issue I have.

I had some work done to my 2004 Silverado recently and while it was in the shop, they told me that all of the cab mount bolt/bushings were missing. Is this common?

Can anyone recommend a good set of bolts/bushings to replace them with? I need to get this done ASAP since this is my primary driver. Is it labor intensive and will I need any specialized tools to get it done?
