new to the board

Just wanted to say Great board, I've been looking around for a place to get/give info and looks like I found it. 2 weeks ago, I picked up my (new to me) 02 black z71 with 14,000 miles and am enjoying every driving moment.

And now for the info I seek... where can I find a list of recalls/tsbs on my truck? Can I fit a 305/75 BFG AT without lifting? How will it effect performance? Also, my brakes seem to "shudder" and lack performance when the AC is on? Lastly, my tranny sometimes misses gears (goes from 3rd to 4th without any "hang time"), shudders from 1st to 2nd and shifts pretty hard? Any ideas?

Welcome aboard. Many here have upgraded to 285's with no rubbing or problems. I've still got 265's though a different tread. 305's may be questionable for you, but I know we've got guys that have them. On your brakes, others here(at least with 99's) have commented on the ABS being overly sensitive on washboard roads. I know I have that on mine. Not much that can be done as far as I'm aware, just plan for the bumps as best you can and sometimes I'll let off the pedal and then reapply. As for decreased performance with the AC, I haven't noticed any pattern or problems there on mine.
