280mm (11") antenna

Has anyone tried (will it even fit?), the 280mm 11" antenna used on the GMC Terrain, on a 2007-2013 Silverado ? GM part number 22783398

Nothing from the first link had listings to fit my 2011 Silverado. Have you actually used any of these on a Silverado?

Terrain/Equinox antenna are male ends (threaded stud) and screw into a female base. Trucks have a female end on the antenna, and screw on to a male end base. Wouldn't work.

I am a modder, willing to make something different. The above set-up is as follows:

Male-to-male adapter from this antenna kit: http://antennax.com/m-6-gmc.aspx?section=-21-461-17-

Filler cover at bottom: 3/8" rubber fuel hose left over from the Cheap-*ss Catch Can Mod.

 

Now you know it can be done.
