Brushing on spray paint

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I recently painted my intake manifold with the duplicolor engine enamel spray paint. Well, I also want to fill in white writing on edelbrock valve covers to match the red. I'd like to be able to use a fine brush to fill in, because I'm not sure how well I could mask off the letters and then spray. Is there any way I can use the spray paint and brush it on?

I have done this often by spraying the paint into a container. Let it set and keep stirring it until it becomes the proper consistency to brush on. If you use a headset magnifier while filling in the letters, your vision and hence your painting precision will be better than anyone who looks at later with the naked eye. Assuming you have steady hands that is. Not a manifold or GM but it shows the results.
